About Nico Padden

Nico Padden has been teaching private voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, and clarinet lessons for 16 years.  She is a professional musician as well as a New York State certified teacher.  Currently, she's furthering her studies and working on additional specialty certifications in Estill Voice Training and the Singing Athlete voice method.  Nico has earned a Bachelor's degree in Music: Vocal Performance from Ithaca College, as well as a Master's degree in Theatre Education from Emerson College.   On the weekends she performs all over Long Island and New York City as a solo singer-songwriter (if you're interested in performance dates check out Nico's performer website here.).  Nico brings her real-life experience as a performing professional to benefit her students in their development of their musical goals.  Recently, she has also begun studying Sound Recording Technology in the recording engineer program at Nassau Community College.  Nico is excited to add Recording Engineer to her list of hats and to be able to soon provide recording engineer services to her students.

Nico was raised in a musical family; her mom is a pianist, organist, and music educator and her dad is a guitarist.  Nico has been studying music and musical instruments from the time she was four years old.  Music is her passion and calling.  Nico loves sharing the joy of making music with her students.  Nico lives with her husband Dan (he's a high school math teacher) and her chihuahua, Charlie, who thinks howling is just as entertaining as singing.

About Mila Davis

Mila Davis was first Nico's voice student when she was a high school student.  Mila went on to earn her Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre.  From there, she toured the world in the International Tour of Dreamgirls, the musical.  Now she teaches voice and beginning piano as Nico's assistant and we couldn't be happier to have her as an additional support to the Nico's Music Lessons family!
